THE SYLLOGISM
1. Design comes from a designer.
2. Life, with it’s dna code and molecular machines, looks to be designed.
3. Therefore, life comes from a designer (God).
USEFUL TERMS
Design - to create, fashion, execute, or construct according to plan.
Purpose - the reason why a thing is the way it is.
Life - matter that utilizes responsiveness, growth, metabolism, energy transformation, and reproduction.
MY THOUGHTS
We cannot look at DNA code or molecular machines and say they came from mutation and selection because we don’t have a shred of evidence for that. And it’s not just irreducible complex life that demands a reason for why it is the way it is. Everything from dirt to water to energy to the laws of physics needs to be explained. Not only do we exist instead of not existing, everything is fine tuned for our existence and there is an abundance of resources. The logical conclusion is that an infinite God created this finite place and everything in it.
