- The resurrection belief, tied to the empty tomb, fueled Christianity’s growth in Jerusalem, where Jesus died (Acts 2:41, 4:4). If the tomb weren’t empty, opponents—Roman or Jewish authorities—could’ve disproved it by displaying the body, yet no record of this exists.
